Hello :)

I'm Francesca Geromino, the artist behind the local small handmade pottery label Fra's Ceramics, based in South Fremantle.

As a professionally trained in London and a full-time potter artist, I would like to share with you my passion and all the tricks and tips to make a wonderful pottery piece with real botanical imprinting.

Here is some explanation of what to expect at my workshop:

At your arrival, you'll find everything ready for your ceramics creations, a complimentary glass of wine and a sharing food platter, to keep up your energy and creativity.

I'll be teaching you the slabbing technique and the flower imprinting decoration.

You'll be able to make a platter, or a mug, or a vase, or a candle holder or a cup. It's up to you to decide. 

The table will be decorated with flowers and plants, textiles, Indian wood blocks and shells that we'll be using for our clay imprinting.

In the beginning, I'll provide you with some clay to have fun and try all the imprinting you are curious about and chose the one that is perfect for your creation :)!

The workshop is perfect for the total beginner. There is nothing more exciting for me than seeing beginners making beautiful creations.

If you are already familiar with ceramics, it's a nice workshop to create what you would like, and I'll follow you step by step to help you achieve your dream ceramic design.

After the workshop, the creations will take around 2 months to be ready to be collected (between drying, first firing, painting, glazing and second firing). I'll personally paint and glaze your pieces with the colour you prefer between 25 different options available. 

Clay, tools, 2 firings, food and wine are included in the price.
