Workshop locations differ based on the type of event, specifics available on each event page. Most classes are held at Fra's Cer home studio on Martha Street in Beaconsfield or in Fremantle.
Do you offer pottery workshops at schools or at external venues in Fremantle and Perth?
Yes. Fra’s Ceramics offers mobile pottery workshops in Fremantle, Perth and surrounding areas, including school pottery incursions, childcare and community workshops, and private events at external venues. I travel to your location and deliver hands-on handbuilding pottery workshops tailored to the age group, group size and setting.
This service is ideal for primary and high schools, childcare centres, community organisations, birthdays, private gatherings, corporate team-building events and school holiday programs. All materials are provided, and workshops can be adapted for both children and adults.
What techniques are taught in your pottery classes?
All classes focus on hand-building pottery techniques, including coiling slab building, texturing, and surface decoration. These techniques are ideal for and allow participants to create functional pieces such as mugs, bowls, plates, and small vases as well as a vast variety of decorative pieces or sculptures.
What is included in the workshop price?
All pottery workshops include clay, tools, glazing, firings and finishing. Adult workshops also include food, wine, coffee and tea. Once fired, all pieces are food-safe, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe.
What kinds of pottery classes do you provide?
Fra’s Ceramics provides handbuilding pottery workshops and courses in Fremantle for adults, children, and teenagers. Offerings include 3-hour adult workshops with food and wine, 5-week pottery courses for adults, 8-week after-school classes for kids, school holiday workshops, private group sessions, supportive pottery groups for women and one-on-one sessions. All classes are personally by Francesca in her Fremantle studio. No prior experience is necessary, as all materials and firings are included, and the finished pieces are food, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe.
